Outrun Privacy Policy

The short version: Outrun collects no data. None. Everything stays on your devices.

What the app stores, and where

• Your photos. The photos you add as "memories" are stored on your iPhone and copied to your paired Apple Watch. They are never uploaded to any server. We never see them. Deleting a photo in the app removes it from both devices.
• Your runs. Run summaries (time, distance, heart rate or pace target, and how often a memory appeared) are stored on your iPhone. Workouts are saved to Apple Health on your watch, where they are governed by Apple's Health privacy protections and your own Health sharing settings.
• Health data. Outrun reads your heart rate, pace, and distance during a run, on the watch, only while a workout is active, and only to decide when a memory should appear. This data is handled by Apple's HealthKit framework and never leaves your devices except through Apple's own iCloud/Health sync, which you control.

What we don't do

• No accounts, sign-ups, or logins.
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
• No servers. The app has nothing to send data to.
• No selling, sharing, or transferring of data to anyone, because we never have it.

Sharing

If you choose to share a run card, the image is created on your phone and handed to Apple's standard share sheet. What happens next (posting to Instagram, sending a text) is between you and the app you share it to. Including photos on a share card is optional and off with a single tap.

Children

Outrun is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
